I am a Christian woman, mother of four adults, and grandmother of four beautiful girls and stepmother of four adults and step grandmother of 7 awesome kids. I enjoy having contact and friendship with youngsters and kids. They have been coming to my life after having the experience of being a teenage and youngsters Bible teacher.
I have a bachelor’s in management, but my desire was to be a teacher or a counselor. My father died when I was in my first year at the university. Since that, I felt the urgency of finding a job and taking some "economic weight" out of my mother's responsibility. Since she married my father, she has always been a housewife, so I thought that it was going to be difficult for her to find a job to pay all our bills, so I went to work and left my university.
Four years later I got married and whenever I had the opportunity I went back to my studies. But when we had the need, I had to go back to work. I finished my studies late in my life, with some effort. On December 18, 2010, I took my last final exam and finished all my bachelor classes.
After finishing in December 2010, I relocated in Florida. On February 2011, I came to SUAGM to find out about a Master. Now that I finished my Bachelor, I got an interview with the college counselor. Telling her about my passion for youngsters and telling her that when they were near me, they were always seeking for my advice, and she gave me the permission to be admitted in the Guidance and Counseling Master.
When I did my practicum, I had the opportunity to practice several months in a Mental Health Hospital, where I knew since that moment that what I wanted to work as a Mental Health Counselor and give help and guidance to people in need and overall, to teens and kids. I would like to be an inspiration to this youngster, letting them know that no matter what happens in their life, they can pursue their dreams and meet them because the motivation comes from their inside.
It has been 8 years since I graduated, and I have been working as a Mental Health Counselor under the supervision of Licensed Counselors. Now, for almost 2 years I have been working with A Helping Hand Counseling Center. I am very excited now that I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor and am walking towards my License.
I have been working with kids, teens, and adults, especially women, with Depressive disorders, Anxiety disorders, Low self-esteem, Disruptive, Impulse-Control, and Conduct Disorders and Christian orientation.
We are here to help you, you child, and your family. Feel free to visit us in A Helping Hand Counseling Center!
